This provides interoperability with third-party IP codec devices, while adding unrivaled robustness, QoS optimization, stream integrity and audio quality.
Current set of audio compression algorithms includes PCM linear 8/16/20/24, PCM32float, ISO MPEG-1/2 L1, L2, L3 and ITU G.711/722, ISO MPEG-1/2 Layer I, II and III, WMA
Stream jitter management and forward error correction (FEC)
IP stream synchronization at multiple locations
Error concealment : FluidIP offers an « error concealment » feature. It compensates for lost packet errors for MPEG L1, L2, and AAC audio formats (other formats on demand).
Adjustment of RTP frames to application-specific requirements:
Latency / Bandwidth: The size of network packets is adjustable within FluidIP.
The smaller the packets; the larger the bandwidth required to transport the audio data because of packet overheads.
On the other hand, bigger packets mean more latency between the audio source (typically a mic) and the audio destination (typically a remote loud speaker).
MTU: Maximum Transmission Unit. The MTU defines the maximal size of the packet that could be transmitted at a time without fragmentation.
Being able to adapt to the MTU within FluidIP, it is possible to reduce packets size, thus making a better usage of the available bandwidth.
Fail-over: under Visiblu
Should any IP audio stream dropout occur due to an external mishap, FluidIP offers multiple fail-over options such as IP Stream replacement by another IP stream, by a playlist, or by an audio board input.
